The NANKANG ICE-2 is a winter tyre designed for passenger cars, featuring a directional and multi-pitch tread pattern with 152 circumferential lateral grooves. The tyre incorporates key technologies including a silica-enhanced compound for improved flexibility in freezing temperatures, micro vein design on blocks for enhanced early-life friction, and a wavy surface design on groove walls for superior ice and snow grip. In performance testing, the ICE-2 demonstrates approximately 20 percent better dry and wet braking compared to its predecessor, with snow braking improved by 3 percent. Noise reduction is achieved through the staggered lateral groove design which disturbs sound waves. The tyre carries an EU rolling resistance rating of D to C and wet grip rating of D to C, indicating good fuel efficiency and wet braking performance. The ICE-2 is suitable for passenger vehicles in winter driving conditions and offers load ratings of 94 with a maximum speed rating of 190 km/h in standard fitments.
