The Pirelli Ice Friction is a premium winter tyre designed for passenger vehicles, cars, and SUVs that need reliable performance on ice, snow, and wet surfaces. The tyre features an innovative dual-layer rubber compound containing vegetable oils and functionalized polymers, combined with nano magnets that provide better performance across a broader range of operating temperatures. The V-shaped directional tread pattern includes deep grooves for efficient water and slush evacuation, along with specially designed sipes for enhanced snow grip and traction. Key technologies include the Pirelli Noise Cancelling System (PNCS) which reduces interior vehicle noise by approximately half, and the ELECT certification for electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles with a unique inner layer optimized for rolling resistance and range. On ice, wet, and snow surfaces, independent UTAC testing shows the Ice Friction delivers excellent braking and traction performance, with particularly strong wet braking capabilities and low noise levels rated as class A on the EU label. The tyre comes in 46 sizes ranging from 15 to 22 inches with low rolling resistance rated C on the EU label, making it suitable for a wide variety of vehicles from compact sedans to electric SUVs.
